ITEM: Opening chapter and synopsis critique by Jo Franklin
DETAILS: Critique of the opening chapter and synopsis of a children’s novel, not picture book (any age group). This can take the form of a written report or a face-to-face meeting in London.
BIO: Jo Franklin is an author writing children’s books. She has recently signed a two book deal with the German publisher Coppenrath. Jo has written everything from picture books to YA but is currently focussing on funny, quirky middle grade humour for boys or girls or both.
She is a ‘graduate’ from the City Lit writing school and a member of SCBWI. She runs her own weekly critique group. Jo also acts as a mentor and tireless nag to many writing friends and now offers literary consultancy and mentorship professionally.
